Tarapués Mónica

Mónica has been trained as a physician and a clinical pharmacologist. She obtained her medical degree in her home country -Ecuador- and her post-graduate studies, a master’s and PhD degree, in Spain. Her pharmacovigilance training was done at the Regional Pharmacovigilance Centre of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain. After finishing her studies, she returned to Ecuador and started working as a Pharmacology Lecturer in medical school at Universidad Central del Ecuador in Quito. She has been a consultant for the Panamerican Health Organization, an external expert panel of the Ecuadorian Medicine Agency and a Board Member of ISoP. Since January 2020, she has worked as a part-time remote consultant for the Uppsala Monitoring Centre.
